Pricing guide

Google Maps scraper pricing, compared honestly

Dated observations from 8 October 2026. Gmap Data is not the cheapest option, and this page shows the maths.

Per record, per search or per saved business? The pricing unit decides what you actually pay. This page converts six well-known tools to a common unit using prices observed on one date, and shows the same 1,000-business list priced six ways.

Gmap Data is the most expensive option per row here, and the page says why and for whom it can still make sense.

Three pricing units, three different bills

Google Maps scraping tools do not sell the same thing, so their prices cannot be compared line by line until you convert them to a common unit: cost per 1,000 businesses you actually keep.

  • Per record or per place: you pay for each business returned, whether or not you keep it. Outscraper and the Apify Google Maps actor price this way.
  • Per search credit: you pay for search activity, with a variable number of businesses per search. GMapsScraper.io prices this way and includes email extraction at every tier.
  • Per saved business: you pay only when a deduplicated row is stored in your account. Gmap Data prices this way; searches, duplicates and failed lookups are free.

The same 1,000-business list, priced six ways

Take a concrete job: a list of 1,000 businesses in one market. Using only the observed prices above, the cost per 1,000 businesses ranges from roughly $0.06 of GMapsScraper search credits to $149 for Gmap Data's Starter month - a spread of more than 2,000x, depending on the unit and whether email enrichment is included.

  • GMapsScraper.io: ~$0.06 of Starter credits by their published example (~100 businesses per 10 credits); a $9 credit pack covers it for ~$0.45.
  • G Maps Extractor: $0.95 on Lite, which includes 20,000 records.
  • Apify base actor: $1.50 per 1,000 places, plus the platform plan; adding the separate email actor brings it to ~$3.60.
  • Outscraper: $3.00 for 1,000 records; ~$6.00 with contact discovery; ~$9.00 with email verification.
  • Scrap.io: $3.50 on Basic (billed yearly), with enrichment included; credits do not carry over.
  • Gmap Data: $149 for one Starter month, because the plan includes exactly 1,000 saved businesses.

Why Gmap Data costs more, and when that is still reasonable

On observed numbers, Gmap Data is roughly 25x to more than 2,000x more expensive per business than the comparators above, depending on the tool and whether email enrichment is included: about 25x against Outscraper with contacts, ~41x against the Apify base plus email actor, ~43x against Scrap.io, ~157x against G Maps Extractor, and thousands of times against GMapsScraper's search-credit model. That is not a marketing problem to paper over; it is the honest reading of the table above. Buyers whose only requirement is rows and addresses should choose one of the cheaper tools.

Gmap Data's unit buys a different bundle: deduplication by place id before saving (so overlapping searches never double-charge), contact discovery with source and quality class, per-address verification evidence through provider accounts you connect, suppression handling, projects with data-completeness metrics, account isolation, and an append-only credit ledger. Teams that would otherwise build and maintain those pieces themselves are the ones for whom the unit can make sense.

A hidden-cost checklist

  • Do duplicates or failed lookups consume your credits? If yes, your effective cost is above the headline price.
  • Is email enrichment included or billed per email? Some platforms charge extra per 1,000 emails on top of the record price.
  • Is the price monthly or billed yearly? Scrap.io's observed Basic price is billed yearly; monthly billing is higher.
  • Does the platform charge separately for compute? The Apify actor price is per place, and the platform plan is separate.
  • What happens to unused allowance? Gmap Data credits carry over; some subscriptions reset monthly.
  • What is the refund policy? GMapsScraper advertised a 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans; check each vendor's current terms.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why is Gmap Data more expensive per business than other tools?

Because its unit is a saved, deduplicated row with a review workspace and contact evidence, while competitors charge per returned record, per search credit or per exported place. On 8 October 2026 observed pricing the gap ranged from roughly 25x against Outscraper with contacts to thousands of times against GMapsScraper's search-credit model. Buyers who only need rows should choose a cheaper tool.

What is a search credit worth?

It depends on the density of results. GMapsScraper.io publishes an example of 80-120 businesses for 10 credits on an area search, while a standard search returns roughly 20. That makes search credits hard to compare with per-record or per-saved-business prices.

Do unused Gmap Data credits expire?

No. Unused credits carry over month to month; automatic expiration is disabled.

Are the competitor prices on this page current?

They were observed on 8 October 2026 and are labelled with that date. Vendors change prices and promotions frequently, so re-check their pricing pages before purchasing.

How do I calculate my own cost?

Use the free lead cost calculator: it reads the live Gmap Data catalogue and shows credits, runs and the cheapest covering plan for any list size. For other tools, convert their price to cost per 1,000 usable rows first.
