Two different answers to the same job
GMapsScraper.io and Gmap Data both turn Google Maps searches into an exportable business list, but they are built around different pricing units. GMapsScraper prices in credits that are consumed by searches, with email extraction included at every tier. Gmap Data prices in saved businesses: one credit is one row that actually lands in your list, and searches, duplicates and failed lookups are free.
That difference matters more than any feature checklist, so this page leads with the unit economics and only then compares features.
| GMapsScraper.io | Gmap Data | |
|---|---|---|
| Product shape | Cloud web app, browser tooling, open-source extension and developer API | Managed cloud web app with queued workers; no extension or public API |
| Pricing unit | Search credits (a standard search returns roughly 20 businesses; Area Search 80-120 for 10 credits) | Saved businesses (1 credit = 1 business successfully saved) |
| Free tier | 10 credits (5 searches), no card | 10 credits per month (Free plan) |
| Entry paid price | Starter $19/month (list $39) | Starter $149/month |
| Credit packs | $9 / $29 / $79 one-time packs; credits never expire | No credit packs; monthly plans only |
| Email extraction | Included in every plan, including free | Published-email discovery included; enrichment and verification run on your own provider accounts |
| Exports | CSV / Excel / JSON | CSV (stable, append-only column contract) |
| Country-scale search | State and country search up to 50 cities, merged (Pro) | Whole-country campaigns for Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, up to 1,000 saved per campaign |
| API access | Yes, including unlimited keys on Pro | No public API |
| Projects / CRM | HubSpot and CRM export on Pro | Projects with data-quality review and suppression handling |
| Verification evidence | Not the product's focus | Deliverability status and applied verification result per contact |

Both columns observed from public pages on 8 October 2026. Features and prices change; re-check the vendor before buying. Gmap Data facts are from its live catalogue and product behaviour on the same date.
Where GMapsScraper is the better fit
Being honest about this is the point of a comparison page. On the numbers observed, GMapsScraper is the stronger option for several real jobs:
- High-volume, price-sensitive extraction: their Starter plan advertises 30,000 credits for $19/month, and credit packs start at $9 with no subscription.
- Teams that need an API or a browser extension: they publish developer API access, an open-source extension and AI-agent tooling; Gmap Data has none of those.
- Buyers who want to pay once: one-time credit packs with no recurring commitment.
- Workflows that depend on search-based credits: if your work is measured in searches rather than saved rows, their unit matches your mental model.
Where Gmap Data is the better fit
Gmap Data's unit economics only make sense for a specific kind of buyer, and it is better to say so plainly:
- You care about saved, deduplicated rows rather than raw volume. Overlapping searches never double-charge, and legitimate branches stay separate by place id.
- You want contact evidence, not just addresses: every discovered email carries its source, quality class, domain match and any verification result, and undeliverable contacts are excluded from outreach-ready state.
- You use provider accounts you already pay for: bring-your-own-key enrichment (Hunter, Prospeo) and verification (ZeroBounce, QuickEmailVerification, Bouncer) never consume platform credits.
- You want a review workspace: projects, suppression handling, data-completeness metrics and an append-only credit ledger per account.
- You need whole-country coverage with a boundary rule: a country campaign skips results whose structured country differs from the campaign's, at zero customer credits.
The price gap, stated plainly
On 8 October 2026, GMapsScraper's Starter plan was $19/month (list $39) for 30,000 search credits, while Gmap Data's Starter plan was $149/month for 1,000 saved businesses. By GMapsScraper's own published example (~100 businesses per 10 credits), 1,000 businesses costs roughly $0.06 of Starter credits - thousands of times less than Gmap Data's $149 for the same 1,000 saved businesses.
Gmap Data is not trying to win that comparison. Its price covers a managed, account-scoped workspace with deduplication, contact evidence, provider-key isolation and an auditable credit ledger, and it only charges when a business is saved. If your priority is the lowest cost per row, GMapsScraper's model is likely a better match, and this page says so.
How to decide
Count the unit you actually need
If you need rows, compare cost per saved business. If you need searches or API calls, a search-credit model fits better.
List the non-negotiables
API, extension, CRM export, verification evidence, country coverage, projects. Anything missing from a tool is a workflow you have to build.
Try both on one real market
Run the same query and area, then compare the actual saved rows, duplicates and contact quality - not the marketing pages.
Check the terms and the date
Both tools change. Re-read the vendor's pricing and terms at the moment you buy; this comparison is dated for that reason.
